Game inventory & activity for 2012 & 2013 resolution

At the beginning of 2012 I made a resolution to have 9 fewer games than what I started the year with. I didn't make it. I don't foresee any activity for the rest of this year.

I started 2012 with 78 games. I acquired 8 games over the course of the year. I disposed of 10 games over the course of the year, giving me a net of -2 and I stand at 76 games right now. Way too many. I'd love to get rid of 25 in 2013, but I'm going for a more realistic figure and I will again have the same resolution for 2013 as I did for 2012, to end 2013 with at least 9 less games than I started the year with. I'll check back at the end of 2013 with an update.

I wish I had a game room big enough to hold them all. The way my basement game room is set up right now, I can hold about 25 in a playable format. So the rest are packed in garages, not really getting any use, and therefore not really doing me or anyone else any good or pleasure. Hopefully I can make major inroads in 2013.

pm sent. :)

Good goal, I know you can do it. I haven't seen your list of titles to know how many games are "easy" to acquire again, if needed.

merry christmas Joe!

clearly I am the only 3rd party involved at this point. Let's talk commission. ;)

fizgig pm me, joe, email me.

Joe, pick 9 list them on ebay starting at $1 each with no reserve and don't look back. When I had to seriously cut down some years ago I listed a bunch on ebay for open auction and every single one of them brought more than I would have asked for.

You could be done with your resolution by the end of January.

In fact, list 15 of them, that gives you a little headroom to pick up 6 more.

I know how you feel. I have 25 on hand and only room for 16 in the basement and 1 in the family room.
I am probaly going to sell off my black hole pin if I can find a buyer to free up some room for 2 more vids.
The rest will live on one side of the garage. Probably all the non vectors.

Making a decision on what stays and goes sucks when you have limited room.

My solution would to buy MORE games and sell the house. And get a bigger one... :)

Get rid of kram!

Kram is one of the keepers for now!

Looking to unload a Reactor?

I don't have a Reactor right now, but if I did, I would be looking to sell it. I've had two in the past. Not a game I care for.

Now that is a very tempting and interesting idea. I already resolved that for me to move several games, I'm going to have to sell them for under the average going rate for the game. And I was ok with that. So if I am willing to sell them lower than average price, well ebay theoretically should get you an average price, so I should be good to go that way. If I don't make much progress towards the end of summer, I might go that route. Good idea! And I like your thinking of selling 15 to give me a few games buying room.

The big plus to ebaying multiple titles at once is that the same people will bid on multiple titles at once to combo the fuel cost on the pickup and it will really help drive the prices upwards.
