GAME ID

Nice cabinet, what game is it?

We may want to restore it.

If by chance you end up getting this cabinet I would really, really really appreciate it if you have a once-over throughout the cabinet to see if there are any ID tags for markings that would help identify who manufactured it. I've been trying to figure out who manufactured these for years now.

They also made a similar cabinet for Sega Spider-Man and Golden Axe in addition to taito and tecmo games being shown in this cabinet at trade shows back in the day.

What a steaming turd of a game that looks to be based on gameplay. No wonder they turned it into a shooter. Too bad because it was released just a few months after Mortal Kombat II and the digitized graphics and animation actually look pretty technologically advanced in comparison.

My GA was originally a SM.

and now it's a GL. LOL :)

The profile of this SAMMY cab does look similar.
Restore it? Yes, convert it to a GA or SM, IMHO. :)

GA2 all the way, that game is a superb sequel to the unbelievably short GA original.

@DonPanetta i have a golden axe 2 that I can check. The cabinet profile is extremely similar

@VectorCollector has one and checked for me. His cabinet did not have any tags beyond the Sega tag. Many Sega cabinets produced by third parties did not have any additional tags on them so its possible that all of the sega titles were ordered to have no other mfg tags on them. If you want to double check that would be great tho.

Games that came in this cabinet
Sammy Survival Arts (non-modular control panel over-under coin door)
Golden Axe II: Revenge Of Death Adder (modular control panel 4p variant. 4p pinball coin door)
Spider-man (modular control panel 4p variant )

Games shown off at trade shows in this cabinet
Tecmo Thunder Dragon II (modular control panel 2p variant. 2p pinball style coin door)
Taito Hack Trick Hero '93 (modular control panel 4p variant. 4p pinball style coin door)
Taito Prime Time Fighter (modular control panel 2p variant. 4p pinball style coin door)

Alrighty, I can look but you're probably right about the tags not being on there. I do remember that it has the Sega tag

My partial SEGA tag:

The power supply cutout at the back ...

These are good identifiers more than the side profile of the cabinet. :)
