Game Endings

As far as console games, I loved the ending to Metroid.

How shocked were you to see that Samus was a chic? lol

I wasn't shocked, just excited. The whole last level with the ice beam and the missiles and the Metroids and the Mother Brain was just fucking awesome. I was riding the wave of elation at that point. Add the adrenaline of having to get up the vertical corridor before the bomb went off and the whole experience nearly killed me.

I always thought Super Tecmo Bowl's ending was kinda cool. Also liked Ninja Gaiden's whole cinematic storyline for the NES.

Any game that simply has "thanks for playing" or any other kind of short text message is pretty weak IMO. You play your ass off trying to achieve the ending and for all your hard work you get congratulated with some half-ass ending? Boo!

What!!?? you finished Rastan? Kudos to you my friend!! I can't pass the level with the ropes swinging over the flaming pit. I love the music in level one lol

Hardest part of Rastan is no continues on the final level. If you get to it on your last guy and die...that's it.

The Ending to Pitfall just has Harry jumping up and down as the music plays and thats it.

I think you meant Pitfall 2 :) I never finished Pitfall, but I used to be able to finish Pitfall 2 perfectly. (if you hit any enemy, it moved you back to the last red cross you touched, deducting points the whole time you moved)

Yeah...I finished the game on one quarter twice, but my friends would egg me on to die before the last level to maximize the number of lives. I didn't like doing that. It seemed wrong even when they were paying me a quarter to do it. If I had one life left, yes, I'd do it. But two lives, I'd just go on.
