Hi folks,
I have a Game Elf 412-in-1 that I'm trying to install into my vertical game cabinet. I bought the cabinet because the CRT is still operational. I removed the original game (Birdie King) and began installing the game elf.
At first the video image was a rolling, jagged mess (see attached photo). I figured it had to be a sync issue. Upon inspecting the CRT PCB I noticed that the video connections labeled on the board (see attached photo) did not match my JAMMA wiring harness (see attached photo).
The PCB indicates the following connections (left to right): Gnd-B-G-R-Sync
The harness had the following connections (left to right) : Sync-Gnd-B-G-R
I re-pinned the JAMMA video connector and the display is much better behaved, however, and you can see from the attached image ("Display") it is still not right.
I connected the Game Elf to a VGA monitor and verified that it is in fact operational but have run out of ideas. I know the CRT is working because the original game worked fine. I am not sure what model the CRT board is but the CRT tube is labeled Philips 19VKUP22.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks,
Larry
