game blows surge protector

picked up a arkanoid everything looks ok but when i plug it in it blows my surge protector right away never even turns on for a second? any ideas? thx

never mind........i was thinking maybe someone wired the plug wrong boy was i right!!!!
someone stripped all 3 wires bare taped them together then ran them to the wrong 3 spots
yikes! were good now
