Recommend watching in 1080p. EDIT - Ok, ok..maybe the SECOND largest.

The OCD side of me is noticing all the "wrong" cabinets, missing art and controls, but for there to be an arcade like that still up and running in this day and age is awesome and impressive.

I wish there was a place like that in the Bay Area, but it would be damn near impossible I'm guessing.

Thanks for sharing!

funspot has 500+ and advertises as the largest arcade in the world, so i guess that answers the question.

Fun Spot is way more than just an arcade. They claimed to be recognized by The Guinness Book Of World Records as the worlds larges arcade. Galloping Ghost is unofficially the second largest. I have been to Galloping Ghost but not Fun Spot. I need to plan a trip to Fun Spot soon. Doc who runs Galloping Ghost told me he wasn't going to stop until Galloping Ghost was the worlds largest. Real good guy, I very much enjoyed talking to him on the few times I've been there.

Yes. They have 370+ machines on site. Fun Spot has either the same or more/fewer.

That doesn't mean too much, *I* have either the same or more/fewer! ;)

Galloping Ghost is pretty cool - I hadn't played a real arcade game in a decade until I went there. Then I had to buy my first game.

Nice video man, I really need to stop down there one of these days. Were they having a Mortal Kombat Tournament of some kind? You were mentioning something about the actors and the games being all in a room.

Very nice. Amazing to see how many fighting games are there. I wonder how they determine if a game is not being played much, since they are all set to free play.

That must be one hell of a lot of work keeping those games running every day.

Doc told me that he has roughly 10 monitors that go bad a week. That explains a lot of the LCDs. They aren't permanent. The LCDs get installed so the game is at least playable.

Yes...

that was impressive to see 2 galaga 88s 1 dragon spirit in a wrong cabinet and to see a splatterhouse in a cabinet. besides those there seemed to be a lot of rare and obscure games.

Damn,I might have to go to Chicago for Flicky,Midnight Resistance, and SuperSonic. That is a killer arcade. It's also good to see someone else with an Ikaruga in a Dynamo cabinet. Why can't they have a MK tournament in South Beach? How did you do in the tournament,Zeno?

I got 2nd in the MK1 tournament. 3rd in MK2 and I WON the UMK3 tournament...

First part is my qualifying matches (best 2/3) 00:00 - 2:23 I am Player 1. The second part is the semi final matchup (best 2/3) 2:24 - 5:21 I am Player 2. Final matchup (best 4/5) 5:40 - 11:03 I am Player 1.

I love Galloping Ghost. Its about 3 hours away from me, but its worth the trip. Although last time I went I had a hard time getting my girlfriend out of the pinball room when it was time to leave. But I guess that's a good problem to have.
