It's actually a bootleg / knockoff from the early 1980's.
Some people, myself included, actually prefer it to the original Galaga board. The big difference is the Midway board set used a number of custom chips and is thus very difficult to repair these days unless you have the parts. The Gallag knockoff's used a 4th processor chip and all standard components, and is much easier to repair if needed. Mine has the resistor and ROM swaps done, and it's nearly impossible to tell that it's not a genuine Galaga board. IIRC there's a pixel or two of difference in the background starfield, and attract mode doesn't play music.
