It does. If I were you I would not edge light it with EL wire I think it will lose something. I would definately hit it with a spot.

Well if I do a spot, what color? There is a dimmer switch for it, but what color will enhance rather than cancel out the blue? Damn my fruitless years in the band never talking shop with the lighting guy.

Probably just white but hey I'm no lighting guy either. Probably not a very high intesity though.

Looking pretty sweet!! I like the idea of the led's for the back lighting. How does it look when you view the sign from the front at an angle though? You see the LED's and wiring? I'm wrestling with how to light mine as well at the moment and thing a spot light is the best way to go unfortunately.

No, you really don't see them as everything is neat and tidy and strapped away from the edges. You'd have to put your head against the wall and look up to really see anything. The spotlight in my case will be filtered, dimmed and IN ADDITION to the LED's.
