Galaxian T-Molding - Blue, Green, Black, ??

There we go:

I miss that Galaxian and I should of never been tempted by temptation of $$$$. :(

Mine had green on it when I got it, but it looked like it had been through the war, so I replaced it. I just put a new cpo and painted the cp too. I'll try to get a pic today. The new green makes it pop pretty well in my opinion...

That blue looks gay.

Mine had the original black leathered T-molding that the lower serial numbers were shipped with. I replaced it with new black leathered T-molding and I love it like that.

It's like the flyer shows.

I think I like the black leather T-molding the best.

But why own Galaxian when you could have Galaga? Just kidding. I don't want to start that one again!

I don't know if it's the same on all machines - but I've noticed the galaxians with blue trim, usually don't have the blue box in the background of the front art.

Here's an old pic of mine. The arcade is kind of a mess right now.

The Galaxian I have now has the blue t-moulding and did not have the blue color on the front artwork either.

I plan on replacing the t-moulding with the green color stuff when I do the restoration. I prefer how the green looks.

...

Galaxian is like this:

The 25" monitor (early) galaxian - Green T-molding.
The 19" monitor galaxian without the blue box on the front bottom - Blue T-Molding.
The 19" monitor galaxian with the blue box on the front bottom - Green T-molding.

The early serial numbers 19" had black-textured T-molding.

Mine is ser. nr. 815 and it had it (and still has) My friend Robin has ser. nr. 176 (with unique side-art) and had black-leathered as well. His looks EXACTLY like the one on the flyer incl. the blue in the Galaxian letters on the side.

Both have a blue box on the front.

...

Strange.

Ive seen some with black, but assumed it was replaced.
I pulled something like 20+ galaxians from a warehouse ranging from early to later. and none had black :(

Here's a pic of Robin's ser.nr. 176:

The only difference is the blue going "on" in the Galaxian letters and the dot on the i has no color. Still, this is the only time I have seen this color scene and it's exactly like the flyer.

The early ser.nrs. also seemed to have white rather than red joystick knobs.
