So, I've been reading some of the Galaxian threads here, and a problem I at first thought for sure was a monitor cap issue now has me second guessing with all the mentions of poorly made chips on the boards.
I'm just going to explain what happened and see if you guys can guess whether this be monitor- or something else:
We get this beautiful Galaxian machine home and plug it in- it plays but the screen is a little dim and we arent seeing any red- the red for the score and the characters is a barely visable black. So we take of the back start asjusting the sharpness and rgb pots, and it gets a little better. Still no red though, and increasing the red on the monitor- makes the screen go redder but does nothing to increase the red in the game graphics. We put the back on and roll it into place, maybe 10 minutes later the screen goes dark. Turn it off, wait, turn it on- screen is back! 10 mins later the screen goeas dark again- this time never to return. What is BARELY visable now is a waveform pattern on the monitor.
So KLOV'rs Monitor or Boards?
