Need some input on troubleshooting a Galaxian PCB. PCB works except the stars are running too fast. Figure it's a clocking problem but don't know where to look.
Any input on where to start would help. I don't have any experience in reading schematics, but willing to learn with some help.
Thanks

Have you checked the galaxian troubleshooting manuals? The first thing I do is replace the sockets and roms with know working ones. May not be the cause of your problem but dirty legs on the roms and bad rom board sockets cause all sorts of odd issues.

Do you have the manual and schematics?

just fixed the exact problem on mine. it turned out the 5vdc needed to be turned up, if you set it at 5v or 5.1 its too low, if you are using a switching power supply.mine is set at 5.5vdc at the edge connector.
