Galaxian High Score Save Kit

Not for this release. Keeping it simple.
High scores are erased by holding P1+P2 for 3 seconds while the High Score Table is being displayed in attract mode

Do you plan on having any sort of setup menu? Erase high scores? Attract sounds? Diagnostics? Separate high scores for fast / show shots?

(For me, these aren't "must-haves", just ideas...)

Strange... that a person who sucks at most games, and presumably could never get a "high score", would find pleasure in helping others document that same achievement by creating high score save kits.

Ahahahahaha, I hit my highest ever of 6100 last night. It felt like I played my ass off for a really long time and then my last guy died and I'm like 6100, WTF? Really? I think you mean 61,000, no? They didn't.
 
This may sound stupid, but can this be done anytime? I mean, I really wouldn't like the high scores to be able to be erased by someone who just walks up to the game and knows how to erase them. Also wondering if Moon Patrol is the same. I haven't tried it since I installed it. If this is so, is there anyway to disable that feature? Most people who play my games wouldn't know, but I open my collection to the public from time to time and the games are not set for free play. I wouldn't like people being able to get to the menu to change the games to free play or erase the high scores. Even a simple selectable 4 digit password protect to enter the menu or erase the scores would be good enough. Also, I wouldn't mind helping with the Beta, but no burner here right now either. If I can find a good burner around here, I would be willing to help out.

It does not go to a menu to change the coinage settings (that is all dip switch based for Moon Patrol and Galaxian). High scores are erased by holding P1+P2 for 3 or more seconds. Probably not going to change that anytime soon. If you want a custom version then PM me and we can work something out (will work for donations).

Actually, Jason, how about making it so you erase high scores by using the following procedure:

Hold down P1 and P2 start, and while holding them down, you move the joystick left, right, left, left, right, left, left, right, right, right, left, left, right, left, right, right, left, right, left, left, left, left, left, right, left, left, right, right, right, right, left, right, right, right, right, right, right, right.

It's the only way to be sure.
 
The one thing I hate about the Galaga enhancement kit is that rapid fire and normal fire use the same high score table. Any chance of having separate tables for fast and normal?
