With only one real source there wasn't much choice to buying one, so I did. I had read some people mentioning the color differences, but all the pics I saw didn't look tooooo terrible.
That is until I received mine.
Thought I could live with it, but now it's starting to eat at me a bit.
Granted it's still much better than my original top by a long shot.

Has anyone tried, or know of anyone trying to maybe touch up the oranges and reds with something like a colored sharpie or something to adjust the colors a bit better? (hadn't thought of much else to try)
Really tempted to try it, just if I screw up it's a done deal of course.

Oh dear.. A problem like that would be screaming at me.. :(

.. like all the other problems with my games. :D

Sad part is it's not the physical quality of the print or anything .... just THOSE particular colors, the ones that normally really make the graphics "pop". Otherwise it looks as if it's pre-faded from the sun or something, kinda washed out looking.

Might just have to break out the kids's Crayolas and see what happens. :)
(not any time soon though)

I know, but like mentioned, this appears to be a common thing with these particular underlays. (Galaxian) And only ONE source to the best of my knowledge.
I just thought it would have been more tolerable than what I see now.

You guys also need to remember that for some reason the arcade manufacturers would do multiple revisions on artwork. I don't know if it is the case with this particular one, but there have been times were one of the top notch reproduction guys did a piece of artwork and everyone ripped him a new one because it didn't look exactly like there original piece that they wanted to replace. When in reality, the reproduction looked identical to a proven NOS piece of artwork that the reproduction guy had in his possession. They aren't going to please everyone and they certainly aren't going to run a copy of each revision.....
