I got into the mood to work on making a Galaga bezel artwork (vector based). Right now I say I am 25% done. I just have the background, the other planet and two more bugs.

Before I continue though, has this already been done? Meaning, does someone have it already, and I am just wasting my time? haha.

Cheers!

Thanks DarkKnyt, but live trace is terrible to try to salvage. I did live trace the moon though, and I am about to live trace the planet, but everything else just tracing it out. Check it. Just need the upper right planet, stars, then the background, and DONE!

I am so close to finishing, I might as well. It is a pretty nice copy so far. I have not seen it posted anywhere, not a good copy at least. I am copying the dragonflies and tweaking them instead of doing it from scratch. Same for the rest. It is a very long process.

:(

Just curious why you'd pick artwork that's been silkscreened by at least 3 companies and is offered in inkjet form from half a dozen more?

Because I am not sure of the quality. It also does not seem to be available to everyone.

Not too sure, but all of the prints might be made from high quality images, not vector.

I had some one send me a 300dpi tif, and it does not compare to the vector I made.

Also had a lot of fun making it.

:)

It would be marvelous to screen. I am going to try it out after the holidays and replace my bezel on my machine.

I think the Stern Dracula backglass would be a lot of fun to make. I don't want to hog all of the fun, so I could send you scans if you'd like to vectorize it ;-)

Hey mgkastra,

I'm interested in using your excellent vector art for a galaga project. PM'd you.
