Hello! I tried to install a coin door light, and it immediately burnt out with a spark. After that, I can't get any sound from the game at all anymore. Everything else works fine. Marquee, game, etc. Anyone have any thoughts what might be causing that?

Is there resistance? Continuity on the fuses? I'm with the above. Entire games can go down because of a fuse that "looks" okay but is, in fact, not okay.

And not just the fuse but the metal holders as well.
The "proper way" to test a fuse is to validate the resistance across the holder and not across the ends of the fuse itself.
These Midway fuse holders/blocks are notorious for bad connections etc.

I wonder if the voltages look OK too. :sneaky:

You CRAZY BEAUTIFUL SOBs, that's exactly what the problem was. Sorry it took so long to get back, life and insanity and such.

Thank you all! It was the fuse at the bottom of the power supply. Still not sure what's going on with the coin doors but I'm in no rush to try them again.

I didn't know I needed that shirt. Thanks.
