Panels cut out thanks to plans from classic arcade cabinets.

Decided to use melamine this time instead of laminate. It was about $350 cheaper ($300 laminate + $50 contact cement), but hard to work with. I put the t-molding on right away to help protect from chips. Plywood base.

Assembled with dowels and construction adhesive. I used some L-brackets in the end too because I wasn't sure how the construction adhesive would hold to the melamine.

No greater relief than everything lining up. Whew.

Standing up while the construction adhesive dries, and so I can get it out of the way while I wait for parts.

couple things:
1. Looks F'n sweet
2. I put galaxian green T on mine also - LOVE IT

Looks awesome.
Great work.

Marquee fitted and LED marquee light installed. I'm using some original Galaga marquee retaining brackets. I'll have to take them off and powder coat since they are pretty banged up.

Electronics are done and ready to go in. Still waiting for everything else in the mail. Next time I'll order from Phoenix Arcade rather than Szabos :/

Looks great, but yeah, no offense, but I don't know why you would order from anyone else if Darin has the artwork in stock. And with Galaga it looks like he most definitely does. His artwork is usually the best quality, it's screened and you're going to get it within two days. He doesn't actually print, he just stocks artwork that he has others print for him so it's guaranteed to be in stock. He also ships quickly. Guys like Szabo, Rich and others should only be used if it's custom or something Darin doesn't have. You'll learn these things as you go if you decide to restore or scratch-build more cabinets as time goes on. One of the first things I check is if the artwork is already available from Phoenix Arcade. If it's not, that really affects my choice in game builds and restorations. I do go with other printers quite a bit, but it's usually a gamble on how long it's gonna take to finish the game while I'm waiting for artwork.
