Galaga Ram Issues?

I just ordered the switcher from Arcade Shop a little while ago.
I found a couple old threads where the issue was basically what I have and it was suggested to swap in a switcher.

Where is the test point on this for voltage? What should I be at?

The Arcade Shop switcher conversion came today and it did indeed fix my issue.

I wired up everything, even had nice wire splicers for the 120 volts already. Well worth their price. It was great to turn the machine on and hear that explosion sound.

I'm going to eventually replace my sockets and clean my chips up. Hopefully before I have an actual issue, though I have too many projects!

Dick Millikan does Galaga boards for $65 flat rate. I don't know what all that includes but I sent him my bad board and it came back working perfectly. Totally worth it.

He simply repairs them.

For $80 plus shipping I repair them and replace all the 24/28/40/42 pin sockets along with any of the old flat style resistor packs.

That's a damn good price.....That's a shit load of time just replacing all that stuff, not to mention...fixing the thing. There's no way in hell I'd do all that work for $80 :).
