Just picked up a Galaga (S/N 516). Suprisingly the harness appears to be intact. I want to rebuild the original PS rather than wire in a switcher. I know Bob Roberts sells a kit - but it seems he's been backlogged for a while. Does anyone have a Newark/Mouser/Digikey parts list of what I'd need to rebuild this sucker?

Also, I notice that in in 2 spots for caps that C102 aapears to be a zener diode and C103 is a resistor - I think C101 was also a zener. Is this normal? It doesn't look like they were ever replaced.

security is the only source for those large caps in axial I think. he obviously has great parts too. under ordinary circumstances I wouldn't use a kit, I'd source the caps, but they're real oddball numbers and nobody else stocks them anymore lol

to my understanding Midway made some pretty robust units. it's just that so many of them are out in circulation rotting away still. that thing will last you longer than the game itself once rebuilt.

I routinely wash linear supplies just to get all the gunk off them. it's in my estimation the gunk covering will trap heat and make everything run hotter.

Thanks Mecha.

yes i have axials and i have made more than any other supplier has ever made.
BTW: i am in the process of finishing my import paperwork for this shipment and it should be here in about two weeks. i have all my out of stock caps and many dozens of new caps that have not previously been available for arcade and pinball.

Checked the site - but don't see my board listed. It's an A082-90420-B000. Will one of your kits work for that one? I saw the one for the 90400 that had 6 caps... My board has 3. Gonna need the header pins and connectors too... LOL!

that 25,000uf axial i just had made and am working on my import paperwork today so i should have them in stock in about 10days. Yes i have all the headers and connectors in stock, plus probably every component on that power supply is in stock.

such simple units. I'm ordinarily the biggest Williams fanboy, but those Midway power supplies are incredibly easy. I don't understand them like the Williams linears however. :p

Odd thing about this board... Take a look at C101, C102, C103. They look original - or if anyone ever replaced them it was well done.

its on the site and in stock now. i have seen a couple of these boards with a 40,000uf instead of a 25,000uf so if your board is using a 40,000uf cap than you will need to buy the caps separately but if you have the 25,000uf axial than this kit is for you.
