So I recently inherited a Galaga 3 which is actually pretty fun. However, when combined with a regular Galaga and Galaxian, it is hard to justify the space occupied by 3 games.

Is there anyone out there that manufactures a multi-kit for Galaga/Galaxian/Galaga 3/and whatever other Galagas there are?

I'm normally not a fan of multi-games, but if they are all in the same family, I can get on-board with it.

You can get a NAMCO cabinet to JAMMA adapter and a switching power supply and convert the cabinet to JAMMA. You can make one too it's not that hard. Then get whatever multi-board you want and turn off all but 2-way 1-button games.

E.g. on a 60-in-1 you would have all but the below turned off

Galaga
Galaxian
King and Balloon
Mappy
Moon Cresta
Pinball Action
Pleiads
Pooyan
Space Invaders
The End

On the ArpiCade you could certainly add many more games

The main issue is that you cant play Galpus/Galaga 3 in the other cabs...

G3 uses a 8-way joystick. All other Galaga's us a 2-way.

I've thought about putting a selective 2/4/8 way joystick into a Galaga cab and jamma wire the different PCB's in the same cab.

Just picked up a Galpus cab so may I'll try that in this cab....

We'll see.

So I'm not very savvy working on these things. I buy one, play it till it breaks then get something else.

If I understand what you are saying, to have the ultimate Galagalaxianplus88 (I'm going to trademark that name), you would install all 4 original boards and somehow hack them into the 8 way joystick, but how would you switch between games?

Simple, 4/5/6-way jamma switcher and one jamma adapter per board. Basically what I plan on doing some day.

Galaxian
Galaga
Galaga88
Galaga3/Galpus
Galaga Arrangement (Namco board)... Maybe
Galaga terrorist rom hack ... maybe

This reminds me that I still have Namco Classics Vol 1 and 2 lying around. Need to figure out a cab to stick those in, the updated grafx versions are nice.

They are some cool versions / remixes of the classic games on there. The biggest issue is finding a two player cab as most these games on the Namco vol pcb's have simultaneous two player options....

So that's why they have separate player inputs. I don't think I've ever tried them with 2P. TIL.

Ive got the VOl. 1 PCB which we play a lot in my house. The 2 play mappy is a blast. Been looking for a marquee tonight which is how i found this thread.
