I was replacing sockets on the video board and I noticed hairline cracks on the traces so I started checking them with my meter and fixing them and they are cracked nearly across the entire board some making contact and some not.
My question is where do you draw the line. Do you fix all of them or just the ones not making contact?
Do you put something in the center in between the boards to support them to try and prevent that?
BTW, Replacing sockets and fixing cracks got the video board from a solid screen to booting with ram errors.

RAM Errors? Check the 08xx chips on the cpu board... and the LS367 chips.

It booted to "RAM 2L" with the star pattern frozen.
I stopped there for now because staring at the traces was making my head hurt...
I have to work on the cpu board yet. It works but its flaky.

If you're already in there, I'd fix everything. If you don't, you'll just have to pull it again when it quits working next time.

I spose I don't need to make more work for myself down the road by being lazy.
2 bad 2114's causing the errors. No I have to backtrack and check traces on the cpu board its stuck rebooting now and im guessing sockets and cracked traces on that one too.

What is the proper procedure for bridging cracked traces, I've been putting bits of kynar wire on the open cracks and soldering the other ones. I'm afraid if I don't stick something between the boards they will crack again. I've found, im guessing, 15 or so cracked so far.
