Hi. I'm a proud new owner of an original galaga machine. The first few days it worked perfectly. About a week later it locked up while playing. Now it locks up on about 30 minutes. That's when I started googling and opening up the back panel. It came with a switching power supply. I tested the voltage on the board by the capacitor. It was at 6. Then I turned it down and it would only go to 5.5. Then I watched over the next few minutes and watches it go over 6. I then unplugged it. Then I removed all the wires from the power supply except the 115 and the main ground to try to rule out a component other than the power supply. It still creeps up. So I look online on various places and they say replace the power supply. I ordered a galaga approved power supply. Installed it in the machine. Still creeps. So what I'm going to try next is to disconnect the items coming off the transformer and see if that is my issue. Then take the transformer out of the equation for testing. I couldn't find this problem exactly anywhere online. Has anyone seen it before or have and tips?
