She plays blind... the dirt in the bezel area you see is just that...dirt... the guy tried to air-spray out the cabinet via the coin door... and failed.

The G07 in it is hanging on by a thread (the chassis) so there is actually a slight chance it shorted to the frame and blew a fuse... but more than likely the chassis will need to be rebuilt...

This time it's an authentic Galaga...proper cab... not a Galaxaga like the last 2 I've had. It even has a true Galaga PCB set instead of a Gallag PCB set like the last 2 I've had.

I am not 100% sure what I am going to do with her. She'll either get brought up to working 100% status then sold or she'll be fully restored and then sold. I just couldn't pass her up... plus Galaga still makes a few bucks these days so I figured I'd come out ahead on this deal.

Frizz....

Finally, the real deal....and it was a steal!

And you're gonna get rid of it? :(

Welp, upon closer inspection it's actually a K4900 in the cab. There is a cover over the fuse on board so I can't see if we have a situation where the chassis shorted out blowing the fuse when it came loose...I'm going to have to pull the chassis to take a gander.

The tube has some of the most intense CREDIT and GAME OVER burn in i've ever seen in my life... though you'd be hard pressed to see it through the tinted plexi.

As for keeping her... nothing is 100% decided... but with the low space availability I have here, unless another game goes, this one will likely end up going... but who knows.

Nice pickup :)

There was a cabaret listed here locally for $200 non working, it went really fast.

Galaga is on my list of "must haves".

As I was taking the garbage out this morning I moved the back door and realized this was on the back side...

It's completely sealed too.

Don't do that. Keep it with the cab. When you go to sell the cab, factor in the sealed manual, the buyer will certainly appreciate it. It's not often the original manual survives with it's cab....you should ensure that continues.

I know Wunder... I was just kidding. I won't even be removing it from the bag.

Oh... this cab also had (A) keys for both coin door and back, (B) a working marquee, and (C) all 3 prongs on the plug! I think that's a first for me.

:D

I paid $100 plus about an hour of driving round-trip and the gas associated with it. The seller seems like a nice guy. He's a Realtor... and I'm going to pass along his info to my mom when she moves out this way in July. I told him I want my $100 back if I hook him up.

:)

Nice. I have never seen a Galaga in CA for less than $350.
