I picked up this cocktail, I do not believe its a galaga cocktail, was spray painted a lot and there are 4 way leaf sticks that were modified to be put it, Im gonna strip the control panels tomorrow. Also has a 14" screen. I thought midway cocktails had a 19. Idkk

I would say bootleg. Those rom stickers dont look like midway rom stickers. You should have posted a better picture of the board.

I only have my camera from my blackberry which wont take a non blurry picture lol. It is a 2 board stack plus that little 3 inch board on top, I havent taken the board off the cocktail door so idk about the bottom board, it is 3/4 the size of the big board. Also is there anyway to tell if its a galaga or jamma connector? This whole cabinet is a mystery. Control panels painted black but with 4 way leaf WICOs.. idk what cocktail this is, midway looks but i dont understand the 14inch monitor and brackets look like there meant to be there.

Any help?

Sorry if this isnt better let me know what you want a pic of if you need a specfic and I will keep taking them till we figure this out. Thanks for the help!

Sure looks bootleg to me, dont see any midway custom chips on it. The connector looks to be the same 22/44 edge connector, its not jamma.

Real midway boards have a 6 and 3 pin molex connector near the 22/44 connector for video and voltages respectivly....

Alright cool thanks for the help. All the screens have the right text not Gallag or anything so im happy, plays great!

Last question. Can I assume the galaga to jamma adapter from mikes arcade/arcade shop will work here? Cause that would make life great

There are "fix" EPROMS out there that change the text to gallaga from gallag

yea I knew that, I figured thats what that little board is but wasnt sure, I pretty much assumed it was bootleg since I couldnt find the word namco or midway anywhere lol

No, it has nothing to do with that daughtercard. The Gallag->Galaga fix is the EPROM at 4C (labeled "2" on your board).

I've got one of these, works great. You can always tell on these games if they're jamma or not by just studying the edge connector. Like somebody said above, the pin # is way different, but also if you look close you can see how they've got the traces running from pins 3 and 4 over to the end of the harness, and what looks like 5V going to both ends by doing that. You know that's not Jamma.
