I have a Galaga boardset that was working fine last night but now boots up to the image attachment...a bunch of zeros. I have a spare boardset that has other issues...any chips I should try and swap? I'm getting the proper 5.1 at the board...cleaned edge connector...reseated chips...

Thanks in advance

yea the wires to the test switch have been cut. I tried reseating those chips and swapping a few...nothing good. put the originals back and now just have a full white blank screen...argh! Think I'll send a board off to Lance (aka klover seintologist)...

White screen is 1H and / or 1N on the video board.

Thanks Dokert! I didn't get a chance to get back down to my basement to check out those chips...I'll report back once I get to dig into it tonight...

That's how the picture looks if you pull all the EPROMs from a working CPU board! I just did that last night. So you definitely have a problem addressing the ROMs.

Like Dokert said or check the buffers between the CPU and ROMs.

BTW, the Midway Galaga boards say on it somewhere, Video and CPU. Another way to figure it out is that the one with the edge connecter on it is the CPU PCB and the other one is the video PCB. See PCB images here:
