Anyone else watching the G4 channel "100 Video Games of all time"? Good show and it is great to see all of the games, including lots of classic video games. Unfortunately, it also has two mistakes so far. Someone said Outrun was the first to use a gear shift (wrong!) and that Mario's original name was Mr. Video (what??? - It was Jumpman from DK). They also suggested Galaga was based on Space Invaders and made no mention of it being based on and a sequel to Galaxian.

That Mr. Video thing may have some truth to it. Might wanna look it up, it sounds vaguely familiar from something I heard Miyamoto talking about before.

Ha ha, yeah I caught all those too. My favorite line so far was about some NBA2K basketball game or something and one dude was like "it's so real Yao was hurt after my second game". LOL.

Mr Video was an idea, but never implemented.

Really? In 15 years I don't recall hearing that and it has been discussed both here on KLOV and RGVAC at length.

Time to do some Googling.
