Hi;
I solved my steering problem, thanks to the excellent advise from the guys on KLOV but still need to get the gas pedal hooked up to the boardset.
I am using an old PP cab with the original gas pedal, (potentiometer) and the manual states to connect it to the board using the diagram below:

And that's just what's there, a big blank space. I downloaded another copy of the manual and again, the wiring diagram is missing.

Are there any fellow G1000MR2 owners that can help me out with this?
Thanks in advance
Jeff

its been quite some time since i wired mine up, but if you look at the left hand column, it gives you that pin 1 and 2 are the brake and accelerator.
You'll need to power the game up, and be sure that pins 3 and 4 are +5 and gnd. +5 goes to one leg of the pot, gnd goes to the other, and the wiper goes to the pin labeled either accelerator or brake (depending on which pedal your wiring). If the accelerator is backwards, you'll need to swap +5 and gnd at the pot.

I went back to the manual and as you described it, makes sense. I will fire it up and test the outputs on the 4-pin connector and take it from there.
Thank you for your help.
I will try this and post the results.

I wired it up as per our discussion and NG......

I tested the output on pins 3 and 4 and I do not get a voltage reading. I am tempted to just wire up a microswitch at this point, I have spent mucho time on this project already.

Just for kicks, I probed another 4 pos connector that was located on the other board and I found a 5vdc there. Would it be possible for you to please check your game and see what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
Jeff

i went back to my notes, and here's what i have -

5 Pin connector CNN1 (270 deg pot)
1 +5v Steering Brk & Acc
2 Steering Pot
3 St/br/acc. Gnd

4 pin connector CNN3
1 Brake Pot
2 Accelerator Pot
3
4

So, it looks like i pulled +5 and gnd from CNN1 for the pots, then wired the wiper to pin 1 and 2 on cnn3.

Excellent - THANK YOU for taking the time to get this info for me.

I already left a +5vdc line and GND available for the steering but since it is fed from the connector, I don't need it for that so I am going to re-route that to the gas pedal and send the wiper to the CNN3-2.
I'll let you know how it turns out.
Thanks again
Jeff

I was beaten - I hate to admit it but I just could not justify spending another moment on this............
I ran the +5 vdc and gnd to the gas pedal harness and the wiper to the #2 and it still did not work! I checked the power and it was there and even though I did several time already, tested the pot on the pedal as well............ %$#@
I removed the gas pedal assembly, mounted a micro-switch onto the underside of the metal plate and when the gas pedal is depressed, the switch closes and gives it the gas. I connected it to the jamma connector and all my problems are now solved - at the least, with the game!
I just finished the circuit and I am glad that I took the time, it was worth it.
Thanks again for your help and I had left the original harness intact so when (if) I decide to persue this in the future
Jeff
