Any idea why anyone would solder a wire on the G1 pin of the neckboard socket on this K4915 Medium res and not solder it directly on the neckboard? I took the chassis out of my Championship Sprint to wash because it was disgusting and found the loose wire which I couldn't make sense of until I conducted a full inspection.
I suppose I could solder the wire to the back of the neckboard but maybe best to unsolder the socket and fix it properly? The chassis works, I just can't recall if the wire actually broke off or was loose all along but I don't believe it would work with the G1 pin not in circuit? This is more of an education lesson for me as I dive deeper into monitors, so I appreciate feedback from the experts.
