Hi;
I have to replace the 2 "tee pee" resistors, (1.5 ohm 20w ea.) and was wondering if they have to be non-inductive or it does not matter?
I searched and did not see an answer on the forums.....
Thanks in advance.

Hey -
William Boucher (biltronix) lists a non-inductive one on his Star Trek repair page.

The last time I ordered some, I got the 1.5ohm ones so that I could keep the 'teepee' design. :)

1.5W-10-ND RES 1.5 OHM 10W 5% WIREWOUND $0.63 each

Really, I'm not sure why I didn't get the 3 ohm ones. I didn't get the ones Boucher recommends because they're $4 each and I wanted 20 or so of them.

3 ohm 20W ceramic
OHMITE,
Digikey,
B20J3R0E-ND

$5.04

I haven't seen any image problems with the ones I use. The pictures are rock-steady.

Well, if Bill says so, then that's good enough for me, non-inductive it will be.........

I am a Mouser type of guy and I know for a fact that Bill is Digikey .. ;-) so don't tell him I found these:

Mouser # B20J3R0E-ND

They are overkill to say the least but I intend on mounting them on the frame of the monitor to make them more resistant to damage as well as get rid of the heat more quickly....

Thanks again
Jeff
