unfortunately no, but its been intermittent
last time i pulled the chassis out i found one of the y-axis paddle board extra wires (one of the two wires soldered directly from the board to a resistor leg in the 600 section) came loose in man handling it... i figured it was barely hanging on and i finally found the intermittent problem, but alas resoldering it back on did not fix the problem...
i have yet to re-flow all the connector pins, but that and maybe changing out one of the transistors with the sheet metal heatsink in the 600 section will be my next step... the intermittent-ness has become a persistent problem unfortunately, but i do plan to look at it again soon (how many times i've told myself that aside, i really do need to fix this thing for good)
anyway, a good first step if you only lost one axis deflection would be to switch the transistors (on the big heatsink) connectors between the two paddle boards, as supposedly they are prone to failure... when i did this the y-axis remained the problem, so i'm pretty sure they are not my problem... due to wire length issues i had to un-mount the heatsink assembly to do this
and hopefully you've found this G08 faq:

good luck, these monitors had a bad rep but its a necessary evil for some cool sega vectors, what do you have?
