I've lost count how many times I've now repaired the G08 in @CarrieZ 's Space Fury. The one good thing about it is that it introduced me to vector monitor repair by throwing me into the fire. I think this is the 4th or 5th time I've fixed this thing. Each time it's been something different and mostly simple, thankfully. I'm hopeful that with each repair (and it being something different) that at some point this thing will have had every major thing repaired to the point of it being very reliable. (One can hope, right?) :D

Anyhow, last night I was in the garage with the games on. Space Fury was running solid like it has been but at one point I looked over and there was no picture on the monitor with the game playing blind. I pulled the monitor and threw it up on the bench so I could look at it today.

After re-reading the FAQ and various repair threads, I started by measure voltages on the 10-pin connector on the HV side. I was getting proper voltages, but no HV. Pin 10 was 0vdc and pin 7 was 0vac. So, I figured the issue was on the HV side of things. I decided to take the advice of @p1001 (as well as others) and do a solid reflow of the HV board, including the flyback, T900 and every joint that looked questionable. I also reflowed the 10pin header as well as the red & black wires.

After all of the reflow, I reattached everything and fired it up. To my relief, I have a nice picture once again and everything looks good. However, I decided to measure the voltage again at the 10-pin connector. I was surprised to find that pin 7 is only reading 2vac(?!) instead of 6.3vac and I'm only getting 350vdc at pin 10 instead of 400vdc. Now to be fair, I've never checked the voltages before so I don't know what it was previously measuring. All I know is that the picture looks the same as it did before (which looks good to me.)

Thoughts? Is this something to be concerned with? Are there some adjustments I should make?

Thanks!
