I have a couple questions about the G07 CBO chassis.

1. What happens if you replace both 125v fuses with 250v same amps?

2. What are the values supposed to read on a DMM for D901-D904?

3. How can you tell if the HOT and Voltage Reg are good?

Thanks for any and all help

Nothing. It'll work just fine.

When doing a diode test with your black lead on the banded side of the diode, you should get a reading between .400 and .700

If your monitor turns on. :D

Okay, a little more specifics. If your little fuse is blown, then your HOT is probably bad. If you do a diode test between the side of the frame and the outside of the HOT and get a beep or zero reading, it's bad. As for your VR, if your B+ is too high or too low, and removing X701 makes your monitor work but your B+ is still way off, then your VR is either bad or wired up wrong. Also, if your B+ is zero and your fuses are both good, then your VR is probably bad...

And if you do it the other way it shouldn't read at all. If it does show something the diode is bad.

This test is done with the diode out of circuit. You don't have to remove it completely, just one leg out is sufficient.

This is not always necessary. A lot of times you can just do a quick check while the diode is installed to see if you get a reading. if there is no reading, a short, or a weird value, then you can remove one side for further testing...

hope I don't highjack this thread

I have some questions for the same monitor.

I have a Mappy with the CBO also. It's set to vertical mount and it is not adjusting properly to fill the top and bottom of the screen (sides of the horizontal) After the cap kit, I tried to adjust the hor width coil but after many turns, there was no adjustment. The cap kit did nothing for the widths of the screen.

Should I change the coil? it does turn but doesn't adjust.

Sounds like the coil is broken inside which is not uncommon. I would replace the coil.
