I pulled a G07 monitor from a Centipede and replaced it with another with a better tube. The connector for the yoke is different and the picture is now upside down. I know how to fix the problem, but this time I would like to try and accomplish this without resoldering the yoke connector wires in different locations. I would like to pop the pins out of the connector itself and reinsert in the correct order to match the original tube.

Is there a procedure/special tool to accomplish this? I tried to pop the pins out, but an not sure how they are being held into the connector.

if you have a real difficulty getting them out, you can just cut the wires and reattach them to where they should go using butt splice connectors.

however, if you have a very small screwdriver, or an awl with a fine tip on it, you could try using that to pull the spring clippy thing to pull each pin out.

Most of the time I see those just broken into 4 individual one-pin connectors, then plugged into the appropriate pins...

I have seen them cut as well. That gives the potential for "unwanted" mistakes. I have done this in the past, but I never really spent the time to try and change the pinout by removing the pins.

Try a Molex pin extractor and see if that works. I've seen several Froggers that had G07's in them with the yoke connector chopped up into individual parts. I always ended up writing down the wire colors sequence when I had to work on the monitor so I could reconnect them correctly when ready to try it.

Are the yoke connectors and pins for a G07 even sold anywhere? It'd be nice to repin them into a single connector.
