Ok folks, this G07 CBO has me at wits end .It was dead so i installed bob roberts deluxe kit with flyback and it lived but had other issues. After all i have done it still makes a noise that i can change with the H. freq pot and it just won't sync up completely .
Things i have done.
Installed bobs deluxe kit with flyback.
Adjusted B+ to 120.7 and it holds steady.
Did the sync mod,,no change.
Replaced H. freq and V. hold pots.
replaced x301,x302,x401 and x402.
Checked values of all resistors , anything not close to spec got a leg pulled and rechecked.
Reflowed dam near every solder joint on this thing.
Removed new flyback and tried old one,no change.
Banged head on wall,,no change.
The H. freq will let it lock in for a few minutes before it starts scrolling again,it is such a small window of adjustment that locks it.Is there anyway to make this pot less sensitive , a different sized pot,a resistor or cap value change.Of course then i still would have the cricket in there.
Are there any other voltages i could check ?
Thanks all.

two things come to mind. header pins reflowed, but you said you did all the solder joints and the ic chip.i replaced resisters 314,317 and that fixed me up.

Ahhhhh, that ic , i did not replace that yet. Time to make a parts order as i don't have one on hand, that is probably how i overlooked it.

Transistor X302 and X306 and IC501 control the sync. You might not have your game wired right to the monitor, if you have a positive and negative jumper for you sync you might want to snip it!

I will check x306 , thank you . I am using a pattern generator that usually hits on pos composite , but have tried other combinations . I put in another G07 to verify the tube and yoke were ok and it synced with pos composite.
