I aquired a G07 that was plugged directly into house current (no iso xfmr used) this weekend. It was working prior to this, but had a problem with the convergence. What are the parts that will most likely have to be replaced. I'd like to at least get a starting point , to get it to power up, so I can see what else it will need. It's got zero screen burn, so at the very least is a good candidate for a tube swap for my Ms. PAC.
I've never blown one out by not using an iso., so this is a new one to me.
Thanks

Well, you most likely have one of the fuses blown - maybe both. If the small one is blown, then you need to discharge the filter cap before you remove it. You can do so by discharging both sides of the little fuse. Expect a VERY big pop and flash when you do so.

Also, you most likely have a bad voltage regulator (C1106 mounted on the left wall), some blown rectifying diodes near the two fuses, and possibly even a bad HOT (2SD870 mounted on the right wall). Make sure you use mica insulators when replacing either the regulator or HOT.

If the flyback is original, then check it for cracks, too...
