Okay, this is my first attempt at bring a dead monitor back from the grave.
Electrohome G07 CBO Monitor in a Ms. Pac Cocktail

1) On it was dead as a door nail.

2) A fuse was blown, F901. I replaced that then the flyback blew up.

3) Replaced the Flyback, and a resister next to the heat sync, (recommended by a friend, just can't remember the position) and installed a Cap Kit.

4) Replaced the width coil as it was in shambles.

5) Did the upgrade of removing the C501 and C303 fix.

Okay so here is the verdict: Take a look at the pictures provided. I'm new to the repair of monitors but want to learn and am not sure what to try next. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the game play blind? while it's possible you have a bad tube, shorted red gun, or shorted red drive transistor, a red screen also will pop up due to a board problem, some of which can be seen here:

Do you have good voltages on the game board? all daughterboards on good and the right way?

Was picture OK before fuse blew?

Did you replace F901 with the correct value (1.25A/1.5A)? It's odd that it didn't blow again when the fly cooked.

I would pull the chassis again and double check the cap job and look for solder bridges.

Machine played blind when I got it. No picture what so ever. Yeah replaced it with a 1.5 A as thats all I could find, nope it didn't blow.

If i go up your way next week i can bring my monitor tester.

Fyi for those reading the tube has pretty bad pac burn.

IMO it looks like you've got a board problem more than a monitor problem. The first pics are mostly red, but there's crisp clear lines which don't have red and have other colors. That would most likely be a board issue.
