I checked to make sure i had 120 which i do. I adjusted all the pots and tried to adjust the width coil.

The width coil looks brand new like its been replaced. When adjusting it doesnt change the screen size in any way.Does it need a width cap kit?

My next thought is to check the solder and reflow if needed but idk whats up right now.Who has experience with these??
Thanks guys

reflowed it and same old same.

Wierd thing i noticed is basically all the pots change the width on screen but it is about 1/3 of the size it should be.

I can't seem to get those things to adjust either. Let me know if the caps help. I don't have good luck with the width coils. I can't find a TV alignment tool that doesn't slip in em it seems.

Width coil doesnt adjust but all the pots adjust the width so i know something is wrong in the circuit but dont know what.
I am going to remove the 3 resistors on the bottom of the board.I think it may be the culprit,

caped monitor, had good pic and lost it.i suspect shot wiring as playing with them sometimes gets a pic. width coil still does nothing but other pots adjusted out the width off pic to fill screen

The three resistors that were added in are in the video signal section, not the raster section....

If you turn the brightness up, does the bright box fill the whole screen, but the video displayed is much smaller? That might have something to do with those resistors, but I doubt that's what your'e saying.

Basically the raster (white box when you turn up brightness) is too narrow, correct?

Look carefully at your hoizontal coil and see if they plugged it in sideways or something. Compare it to some pictures online to see if it's the right one.

I'm not sure if it's possible, but if they plugged it in sideways it may short the circuit a bit and make it smaller.

Generally on a G07, you can put a jumper wire across the bottom of the width coil, and it'll make the screen as narrow as possible, but it'll only be in an inch or so from the edges on most games. If you don't install a width coil or it's 'open', you won't get any deflection, just a flat vertical line.

It's unlikely to be the actual wiring at fault. Much more likely is either a bad or poorly crimped connector or bad solder joints on the header.

Header has been reflowed. Wiring is original so im better that and the connectors is what i was saying. Im gonna replace all of it

So i put this monitor into my jr pac and i have a pretty good pic after i adjusted everything.so as i suspected i have bad wiring/connectors. Will be replacing those and see what else i can do to the pic.

I have some vertical jailbars on my pic, they are light but white in color and certainly not a perfect pic.Anyone know what componets to look at or replace.

I already capped this. thanks

since it is a pac, start by replacing your fuses before you look to the monitor. Jailbars are common from the ac ripple, old fuses or blown ones help it get worse.

already replaced the fuses. Its in jr pac to test it.Monitor belongs in my resto Super Zaxxon. I will see what happens after i delete the wiring issue.

Also does anyone know if i should have the smaller wiring above the video wires connected on the Zaxxon? There is not any but they were on my Jr Pac
