So this was in a Ms. Pac cocktail and I read Bob Roberts info about the sheilding so I pulled it out and was going to grab some metal to sheild it. While it was out I decided to test it in another cab and the wave is still there and just as bad as it was in the Ms. Pac.

I assume a cap kit will clear this up. Adustments didn't seem to help at all. If there are other things that would cause this also I would appreciate any advice so I can fix it all while it is out the first time.

Thanks

If you do the cap kit, go ahead and get the B+ filter cap. It is not included in the kit. Replacing that cap has solved the wave for me on a G07 that was in a pac cocktail. Usually the wave in a pac is due to either the fuse block or edge connector, however like you I tested in another game and the wave was still there.

Thank you. That is exactly what I was hoping for. Part cost $20 to get shipped here through Mouser or Bob so I would rather order everything that I need in one shot. I wish the forum had a thanks button.

FYI, this is the type of wave I am talking about:

It's hard to tell by a static image if that is what you are dealing with.
Also, some will tell you to replace the flyback if it is original while you are at it...maybe something else as well? As in do one of the rebuild kits on Bob's site, not just the cap kit. The thought is the replaced caps will actually stress the other components that are close to failing and they will subsequently fail.

My problem is the static image stays like that. It doesn't roll or move just wavy like that regardless off the image on the screen.

Thanks I have read all of those. None really describe what I am seeing which is why I cam to the KLOV gurus for help. I will cap it and do all the mods and see what happens.

Tried that. It helps with the white bars a bit but not the wave. The wave seems to be stuck there. I won't get t it for a week or more but will fix it eventually.
