I have a G07 mounted vertically (Vangard), with the right/left sides of image pulsing in and out. It seems to LOOK like it is on the verge of vertical collapse. I have done a cap kit, flyback, and replaced IC501. I also have reflowed any questionable solider joints, and checked it over for any cracks. My B+ is a rock solid 120vdc, and aside from above problem, picture looks great. Where should I look next?
Thanks for any info
Aaron

unplug the video signal from the monitor and turn up the brightness so you get a greyish picture. If its still pulsating then your monitor is to blame. If not the games power supply may be bad.

take a look at FR401 it might be starting to rot and not working right also check/sub your vertical pot and see if that helps.

Thanks for the ideas. I should have also mentioned that I temp. installed a different GO7 monitor assembly and it worked fine, so I am fairly sure the problem lies in the monitor. I will try these ideas today and get back with results.
Thanks
Aaron

FIXED!
OK, I'm not exactly sure what was the exact problem, but here is what I did. Replaced FR401 with a new one, replaced X401 and X402. I also found that 2 adj. pots had the tabs that hold them together were coming loose, so I crimped them back down. Put it back in game, did some minor adjusting and BINGO! All looks great.
Thanks for everyone's ideas/help.
Aaron
