G07 tube swap

damn - so this thing is good for nothing for what I'd want to do with it. Ok, well thanks mate for confirming that.

I don't see why you can't use it. Screen may not adjust to the full size, but that may not matter for your situation. Then you have to see if it fits into your frame as well.

The yoke may not fit properly.

Also, it may not fit onto the frame.

I /think/ they're good for Sanyo EZs, though. Aren't they 20"?

It might not work, but a similar 19" tube might not either. If you have the tube, and it fits or can be made to fit the frame, why not try it?

In my case, more tube availability than time to modify a frame. Can't speak for others.

We can sit here and squabble about it all day and the same arguments hold true for a 19" tube. The best answer we can give the OP is it is possible. There are no guarantees and there are no promises that little white bunnies will pop out and everything will be a-ok.

Can that tube work for a G07? It's possible it will work.
Work well? Ehh.

Yea, this sort of thing always happens to me when I find an old Zenith or RCA along the curb. Pull the tube to check it - never can find a good match for a G07 or 4600.
