Having a moral monitor dilemma here...

I just picked up an absolutely gorgeous Super pacman that has a dead monitor. The game was in home use since the mid 80's, and barely has a scratch on it. The inside was impeccably clean. The game boots and plays, but the G07 monitor is dead. It does have some burn in, but the chassis, the tube back, everything is clean.

I have a kortek 19" I can plunk in this thing, so I don't "need" to repair it, but eh, it has burn in. But man is it clean! Can anyone use this that is local to me for a small fee of trade of some sort? Northern Baltimore County.

Gotta ask where you found the machine, and how much you want for the dead monitor, and could I pick it up at your arcade? Or what do you have interest in trading for?

Its a G07, so of course, you should repair it. It really is one of the best of the classic monitors. Toss your other one in there in the meantime if you want but burn aside, there is no reason not to fix the G07. If you do one of Bob Roberts' repair kits that has the flyback, HOT, caps and width coil (possibly other things), it will be rock solid for a long time.

Some guy online that bought it from Rockville Home Amusement, so you know it's been home used for a while. You can pick it up from my shop in Sparks. Make an interesting offer! I don't know. Just throwing it out there.

Nah, Game Time (the store) is dead. Sold most of everything that was in there. I still have a small vending route, game sales, and some other things going on.

I could use a working K7000 chassis if you have one of those floating around.

I might have one in an a known condition. It came off of a tube that one of the guns was dead on, so never got a good test on the chassis. I will check next time I'm at my warehouse, assuming the monitor is still here.
