G07 slow warmup... again... what else might cause it?

Is there anything else that would cause a G07 to take about half an hour to warm up to a good picture, other than a flyback, hot or tube? I have a completely rebuilt G07 (new caps, flyback & hot), thought I might have a dying tube, but I have another G07 tube I tried it in with the same results. Once it warms up, it looks great, just takes forever. Any ideas? I'm about to say F*** it, tolerate the slow warm up and hope it never dies.

Do BOTH tubes take half an hour to warm up? I would tend to say tube, but if it's doing it that severely on two, I'm not positive about that.

I'm also getting input that it could be R908, or possibly X303 or X304. Any second opinions there? These all look ok, but I imagine that means nothing.

No one wants to confirm this? Getting ready to place an order with Bob, would like to know if I should add these to the list.

At $1 or so each, I say order them. You can always use them somewhere down the line and it will save you $7.50 on shipping.

Try replacing R517. Might not help, but it does cause brightness issues if it goes out of whack...

Measure the heater voltage (or watch the heater glow in the neck) and see if it is slow to come up when turned on from a cold start.

How would I measure this? The neck glows right away, even on cold start. Another G07 works flawlessly with the tube, so I know thats not it.

Ill try this next, but just remembered something else I could use input on. When I replaced X303 & X304, I originally had them backwards (X303 where X304 should have been and vice versa). I had it powered on for 10 minutes or so with no picture (but again getting power and neck glow) before I realized my mistake. They are in the right spots now, but could I have messed these up?

I should also mention the monitor is now taking over an hour to warm up since replacing these, and before that the problem was becoming less and less evident (but still there) before I replaced the filter cap & X303-X304.

Thoughts? I normally dont ask this much but I'm beginning to think this chassis is cursed.

possibly a problem. If you have new ones (or another G07 to swap from) you can try that...

drifting b+ voltage?.. heater voltage is likely the cause as kevin mentioned.
drifting & very low heater voltage.. you should be 5.5vac or higher or a g07.
likely an opening reistor in heater circuite.

How long is the typical warm up for a G07?

I was just curious because my G07 monitors are the slowest to warm up. 20-30+ seconds

I realize this thread is over 2 years old, but was the issue ever solved and what was the solution? I'm having a similar issue with a G07 taking 30-50minutes to warm up to a good picture.
