2nd chassis that is doing this in this cab :(

Completley rebuilt, new fly, new horiz width coil, caps, etc. Wont stop scrolling left to right. FUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK!

Am I missing something??? Sometimes it will slow to almost a stop but never stop all the way.

WTF else can I do?

I'm sure you've tried adjusting the Horiz Freq pot next to the shift jumpers?

Missile Command should have separate positive sync...

Horz freq gets it close to stopping but no dice. Anything else I should be checking? This blows man.

How's the sync hooked up to the chassis?

After doing some reading, I think you are asking about this? Mine looks just like this...

Reflow the solder on those input header pins.

My Dad's Missile Command did exactly the same thing when I recapped the monitor. Pushing on the connector revealed the problem, and re-soldering the connection fixed it.

So I can atleast test to see change by pushing on the yellow/white wires on the chassis?

Yes. Or just wiggle the connector when the monitor is on, and see if you can get the pic to lock in.

You might need to try this a few times with the horizontal hold pot twisted in a few different stops to see if you get any effect. Wiggling the wires when the pot is out of sync wont do you any good.

Yeah, I gotcha. I'll check this tonight.

I will win.

I had this issue last night with a rebuilt g07. The first time I fired it up it was scrolling, I adjusted all of the pots and it didn't stop scrolling until I adjusted the vertical lin. Pot. Strange...once I turned the cab off then back on, the monitor was fine and vertical Lin did its job.

I replaced all pots on this board as well if that matters.

Yeah, this chassis is completley rebuilt, but Im not sure the pots ever got replaced. None of the pots get it to stop all the way. I can get it close. 2 separate G07 chassis do the exact same thing so its gotta be those sync wires.

Bob also shows a pic of this...

What difference would that make?

Nothing. Your game uses positive sync.

Now - if two chassis do the same thing, then I'd get it close to a known working monitor (maybe in another game) and stretch the video connector over to that monitor and test it to make sure the problem isn't with your board or wiring...

This is the way my connectors are hooked up. But it has the loop connecting both sync pins together

Sk8, not on your Missile Command, I presume?

Yeah, the picture I posted is of an actual Missile Command connected to the G07. It's a positive sync game, so all of the connections happen on the 6 pin connector.

Your setup, being JAMMA, uses composite negative sync. Technically only 2 wires need be hooked up on the 3 pin header - just video ground (which can also reside on pin 4 of the 6 pin header, same thing) and composite negative sync, which goes on the last pin. The reason you have the pigtail on your connection is to provide the sync input to both pins on the G07 chassis.
