Just like I told you in your other thread, pull the chassis and look for cracks or broken traces in the vertical trans area.

post pics of the top and bottom of the chassis in the vertical trans area too, it never hurts to have another pair of eyes looking at it.

here's a pic...i made a new thread since i have a new problem...

thanks for the help.

What are you trying to fix now?

1) The picture still looks like it has fold over, which would be a cap issue.

2) You have a completely red screen, which is either a red drive transistor bad, red pots turned way up, bad signal from the game board, or a bad tube (although one or two other things could cause it, too).

3) You have a green blob which shows you need to deguass...

1) this board had new caps put in by a previous owner, i'll have to double check them.

2) swapped out the rgb drive transisitors to no change. rgbs pot do nothing. game board and tube are know good on another chassis.

3) i'll fix the green blob after i fix the red screen.

Disconnect the red signal to the neckboard and see if it goes away...

fixed the red....was x102 on the chassis......sync is now outta control...is that just a pot replacement? i can't lock it down.

If you had a problem with X102, then I'd suggest checking out the transistors there for the sync also, assuming you have the sync wiring correct and don't have cold solder on the sync input pin...

replaced the pot, dialed the colors in and she's good to go now......i bought this from another klover...it had a deluxe kit in it...i found the wrong resistors replaced, solder pad's gone..you name it....3 days of work for newbie like me......i learned a ton of things.....now on to the next one. oh and a degaussing coil took care of the green blotches.

thx to mod and dave for all the help.
