so i sold a perfectly good working g07-cbo board on ebay and today i got a message that it's missing a adjustment knob. which i know it isnt.

was there a revision that had another adjustment knob? i'm guessing its likely or it could be a hack.

no pictures. here is the entire message

"I have sent back the old g07 board with your board you have sent me. It seems there was a part on the board you sent me that was missing. Its an adjustment knob that I have sent the instructions in the package with. Also the fine adjustment (far right) seems to have a short in it. We checked it and it had voltage running threw the body of it. The other three fine adjustment knobs were fine. If you can fix those problems and send it back to the same address that will be great."

i had this board running for 48 hrs after rebuild and it was fine. it seems like they have a sync problem to me. all the pots were new and working.

always secretly mark anything i sell, so scammers cant try and pull a fast one on me

yes sounds like either a scammer or an idiot. Not to mention the person claims to have enough knowledge to test and identify all the issues. Maybe it's just me but if this were the case I might contact the seller asking for a few dollars off but I would fix it myself rather than ship the item back.

I videotape everything I sell on ebay as I pack it, and I take pictures.

I also mention this in my ebay auctions to tell people they aren't scamming me.

The G07-FBO does not have a B+ adjustment pot, while the G07-CBO does. They look almost exactly alike, so it's common to confuse the two.

And if you (or they) DID confuse the two, it could explain their problem. The FBO is the 13" version and the CBO is the 19" version. I could understand having an issue if you connected one to the wrong size tube. The improper load from the yoke would cause voltage issues, too...

it was a cbo, i dialed the b+ to 120v on it as i do every cbo i have.i think the buyer really has no clue on what he's doing or he's out to scam me.

i'll post again when i get the boards in the mail

thanks

got the board back today. seems the b+ pot got magically busted, it was in 2 pieces. replaced it, dialed to 120v.

screen was scrolling, adjusted the vhold and have a perfect picture.

either shipping or the op damaged the b+ pot and didn't know how to adjust the vhold it seems...nothing was missing as stated...
