G07, Playing Blind

Aha!

I replaced R908 and now she's up and running! A few adjustments and it's got a great picture, even. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, I really appreciate the help.

Cool man, glad you got it up and going. Since you replaced all the common components that fail, hopefully knock on wood you won't have any issues out of it down the line.

Wow, a resistor, eh? That sucks. I hate tracking down issues like that. Glad you found it, though! Every monitor that gets fixed by us 'normal' people these days is like a mini victory, right?

Heh, must be the year for Gaplus monitors to crap out. Mine went out earlier this year. I sent the chassis out for fixing though, as I wasn't comfortable enough with monitors at the time (I'd probably try it myself now)

That particular resistor is a common failure item. I include it in the cap kits I put together.

I'll admit it. I did a victory dance.

TOTALLY did the same thing with my 19K7302 yesterday too. I'm walking around the house with my chest puffed out saying, "I am ter-rif-ic, I am stu-pen-dous, I am a-maaaa-zing...."

My mother in law was visiting for the weekend for Halloween. Everyone was underimpressed.

They just don't get it sometimes, this *cough*addiction*cough* HOBBY.
