I pulled the monitor out of my future Multi-Williams to do a cap kit and one of the pins pulled off the main board (it was Q3?). Now I have 2 problems.

1. The pin is stuck in the molex connector. Any ideas on how to get it out? If not, what is its proper name and where can I get a replacement?

2. What is it called and where can I get replacement pins for the main board?

It is a beautiful no-burn tube I would hate to not be able to use it.

Thanks

some sort of dental pic type tool

you mite be able to get it out with a dental pic type tool thoes pins are usually hollow so you can get up inside it and rock the tools point into the pin to one side and slowly work it out so you dont damage the connector. as for a new set of pins i would find a doner and get them from it.

You need a parts G07 chassis, or ask one of the monitor repair guys like arcadecup.com if he can sell you that one connector header.

Good ideas. I'll check with the guys around here and see if anyone has a parts chassis. I'll try the dental tool trick too. I sprayed a little WD-40 in the hole with hopes of loosening it up a bit.

I don't see why you can't push it out of the other end of the connector. If it just broke off at the board, you'll need a replacement header anyways.

take a small allen wrench and tap it out from the back side

Thanks, Dave. I did what you suggested. It's out and it's all rusty inside. Can I replace just the end of the cable? What is the molex at the end called? I looked in the manual and couldn't find it.

The problem is that you will need to find that header and or the pin for the connector. I do not know of any sources for either, other than from a donor chassis.

well, you don't need q2. You might be able to pull it out out of the header and move it to q3.

I am sure I have a trashed g07 chassis around here. I also could probably scare up the yoke wires but I might need a bit of time to find a g07 monitor I was going to toss..

I've got a G07 chassis I was just going to toss... if you want it it's yours. It's missing a pin in the neckboard but if you're just using it for parts who cares. ;)

PM if you want it.

PM sent. Thanks
