I picked up a Ms. Pacman cocktail recently. Noticed the maze was off center which seemed strange. I tried a second board in it with the same results. I assume it is a monitor issue. The monitor looks fine color wise. I have noticed a slight hum bar at times but think that is due to a sometimes bad connection on the main board connector.

The maze is off center but takes up the entire screen. Characters on the left of the screen appear squished horizontally. In the center they appear correct. On the right, they appear fat. 6 pellets on the left take up about 75% or less of the width as 6 pellets on the right of the screen.

Would need of a cap kit do this? What would cause this? It is a G07-CB0.

Adjusting it out would be nice. That is what I'm trying to find out how to do. Just to be sure, I just checked it with a third Ms. Pacman board. Same thing. To clarify, the game takes up the full horizintal and veritcal on the monitor. While player 1 is playing, characters on the left side of the monitor are skinny and on the right side of the monitor they are fat.

Yeah, I've seen a couple EXCATLY like this....I can't remember EXACTLY off the top of my head, but you can adjust that out... do a "KLOV SEARCH" and you most likey find a dozen people that have solved this issue...there are 4 pots on the back of your chassis that look like this....
I've had 10 beers and cant remember, but one will adjust that out, and then you may have to "center" the image using one of the jumpers to the right of the 4 pots...

adust your vertical lin. that will fix your problem. if it doesnt I would look at a cap kit then your pot.

Thanks guys. Adjusted the vertical lin to get the maze centered properly. I had not used that adjustment before on a G07.

The colors on the right hand side then got strange. Kinda green. The color adjustments did not seem to help. Found that the colors were fine when I tilted the monitor up out of the cabinet. Putting it back down went back to strange colors. The speaker is on that side but do not know of anything else that might impact it. Then turned the machine off and went back to it later and it powered up with good colors.

Yeah that is the a deguassing issue when the colors get weird like that, perfectly normal when you lift the lid on a midway ct, its an issue caused by the earths magnetic field, you can do a search here on Klov and read up till your hearts content...
Good to hear you got it adjusted, I literally had this exact same issue about 2 weeks ago on a G07 chassis....adjusted right out!
