I saw some other threads mentioning this but nothing concrete for solution.

I just installed this capped and new flyback chassis (from 6/15) last night. Put on the TPG and everything works as expected. B+ at 119.3, I get the image to sync. However, when the H.Freq is adjusted so it syncs it makes a whining noise, turn the pot to the right (out of sync) and the noise goes away.

It is high pitched noise and might not be noticeable when in cab but figured I would ask before I just live with it.

Thanks

have you tried replacing the pot?

No, they all work but wouldn't hurt replace all of them. I did use some deoxit and that helped loosen them up but the whine persisted.

I went ahead and put the monitor in the cab, hooked up a jamma board and couldn't hear the whine. I can reproduce whine by turning h-freq counter-clockwise and going out of sync but now it doesn't whine when sync'd.

Other change in cab is that -h & -v sync are tied together. On TPG I didn't have that dip sw set. There was a slight curl when using separate -h/-v...hmmm

Anyway, I doubt I will go much further as it is working and not bothering me at the moment.

g07 with curl on the tpg is quite common but it should go away when connected to the game pcb.
