Got a Dig Dug a week or two ago and the monitor shows an overbearing amount of red and appears to be missing vertical lines. I ordered new caps and flyback from Bob Roberts and did my first cap kit (yay me!). However this has not fixed the problem. Any clue on what it could be? I have included a clean Dig Dug picture that I saw on here from Kevin Mullins for comparison. Any help would be apprectiated.

I'm not seeing your missing lines, but it looks like red is full on. Pull the red drive transistor, see if the problem goes away.

Have you adjusted the red pots on the neckboard yet?
You either have a bad pot, bad transistor or just need adjustment. Could also be bad solder joints or a crack in the neckboard.

For starters, it's at least partially a board problem... looks like a bad V1 coming off one of the 07xx....

ahem, can you dumb that down for me? :) I have ordered 3 of the 2SC1514 transistors. I think the pot is ok as I can turn the red all the way down with it.

Appreciate all the help guys.

Time for an update. I put in a new 5k red pot. I cannibalized a non working G07 and replaced the 101 and 102 xsistors on the main board. Screen still looks the same.

I have now swapped the red and green inputs to the main board and now there are permanent vertical green lines instead of red.

Am I correct in assuming there is a game board problem?
