main issue is i have a g07 that i need to install in a Pac cab (have yet to return to location to install it)

picture was great had sync issues scrolling etc.

I have recapped and replaced pots from (bob Roberts)

still can not get the position to stick longer than maybe a minute

have tried swapping dif test sync combinations and different jamma pcbs no luck

any ideas I'm up for them

width coil seems to be unresponsive also but I'm not used to g07
most of mine have all been WG K4600-K7000 and Nintendo's so I do not know what's normal for these ... I have seen a few sync issue post for g07 but nothing that helped so far .

Other chasis has no life looking for someone to send chasis out to do not have paitents anylonger for board repairs lol

If you want, I'll do a chassis swap with you. Prices dependent on what work you've already done to it. You'll get a rebuilt chassis with hi-temp Nichicon brand capacitors (all replaced), solder rework, bench tested for at least 24 hours.

i havent done anything to other chasis no idea what others have done i would need to look at it

have 2 fried resisters now after a sync waire swap shakes head

either case looking to find values of r317 and r315

looking for schematics now lol

your assuming the scrolling is due to a issue with the monitor....you need to make sure it is a monitor problem first as it may be a pcb problem.

have tried many dif pcbs
including
black tiger
aero fighters
sf2
and ms pacman

all have same issue

and no issues with other monitors on my test rig so yes i assume its the monitor

even with the assumption i still tired swapping harnesses etc. no help

pics of it scrolling?

goes from me getting it to stop to in scan line a second and progresivly gets worse as it runs

longest i have had it still is 1 min

if you mean the resisters already replaced them .

lates info with monitor sitting horz on desk

I checked +b was on high side 128 i turned it down to 120 now i no longer get vert scrolling now i get horz scrolling

i up the +b the horz scroolign goes away but then vert scrooling starts

horz freq pot gets the scroll to somewhat stop but not for long

ok thanks for trying to help i figured it out

seems some how on my test rig the !!!! H sync !!! disconnected

_)@($)_$(*@_($*@$_(@*$_@($*!

nothing like wasting two days

all 3 where there but for some reason the h sync wire came loose from the sync wire on the jamma harness

shakes head live and learn

stupid mistakes

sorry for the bother

vert scrolling was caused by +b being to high 128 lower to 120 all is good

horz scrolling caused beacuse there was no sync connected (hooked sync back up screen corrected)

so on to the other 5 monitors I have not working lol

ok other g07 i am having issues with +b is reading the same on both sides of ceramic transistor so i take it the ceramic transistor is bad? Bad HOT ?

hmmm

....... its been to long I need to freshen up on monitors a little

(2SC1106) is what i called the hot

the ceramic is above it i was talking about

ordered a rebuild kit from bob
if i dont install all parts ill ahve them in stock lol

thanks for the clearification

had them reverse thgoutht he regulator was next to the flyback and hot was where you check +b
but make more since the regulator would be near power source and hot would be near the flyback

ok put full rebuild kit from bob on thischasis and still have same issue

flyback widthcoil fuses hot and regulator plus capkit

and still getting 158 +b reading same as before i changed anything

before asking why change it all
width coil was broken both fuses where bypassed

went ahead and replaced hot and flyback because its cheap enough and figured i dont want the monitor to go down in a month lol

but either case still no go on this one

figured the regulator as stated by Dokert few posts back was the logical part to replace but no help

knocking around if i want to try the reg in the working chassis to make sure its good

or looking at the x901 as it traces back to b2 and b3 which go to both sides of the reg

im getting 47ohm on r908 from the resistor calc its right Y V blk R Or

all resistors look orig and none are burnt up ... putting it back

getting 83 hfe on the x901 datasheet shows min 40 typ 80 max 250

83 falls aroumd typical range correct?

as far as the diode setting and testing

red base
1.98 to 1.67 drop 0.3 blk collector (seeems little low)
1.5 to 0.6 drop 0.9 blk emitter

blk base
1.4 to 0.5 drop 0.9 red collector
1.3 to 0.4 drop 0.9 red emitter
